Death Toll of Florida School Shooting Rises to 17

Washington, MINA – The number of those killed in the Wednesday high school shooting in Parkland, Florida, rose to 17, KUNA reported, quoting the Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel.

The 19-year-old suspect was identified as Nikolaus Cruz and is in police custody.

He was expelled from the school for undisclosed disciplinary reasons. Police are now investigating his social media profile.

The victims included students and adults. 12 were killed inside the school and two died outside.

One was shot on the street and two died at the hospital, said Israel to reporters. (T/RS5/RS1)
