BROTHERHOOD IN JORDAN URGES GOVERNMENT TO SAVE ABDUCTED PILOT
Amman, 13 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/3 February 2015 (MINA) – Islamic Action Front Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, demanded the Jordanian government take the necessary measures to save the F-16 pilot Muath Al-Kasaesbeh who was abducted by the Islamic State and ensure his safe return to his family.
The Islamic State (ISIS) released a video on Saturday showing the beheading of the second Japanese hostage Kenji Goto. No reference was made to the Jordanian pilot who was captured by the organisation after his plane fell in the Syrian city of Raqqa on 24 December.
In a statement received by the Anadolu Agency, the Islamic Action Front Party addressed regional issues including the recent developments in Yemen, Palestinian territories, Iraq and Egypt, Middle East Monitor (MEMO) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting. Tuesday.
It saluted the Yemeni people for standing behind their revolution and against the Houthis’s attempt to undermine them, their freedom and their dignity.
The statement condemned the Israeli plan to build 450 new housing units in the occupied West Bank.
The party also condemned “the massacres and atrocities carried out by the sectarian militias in Iraq against the Sunnis there”.
The party denounced a recent decision by the Cairo Court for Urgent Matters designating the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military arm, a “terrorist organisation”. (T/P002/P3)
