Arab League to Hold Emergency Meeting Tuesday over Israeli Crimes in Palestine

Saudi Arabia will chair a meeting an emergency meeting of Arab states on Tuesday following the killing of Palestinian protesters by Israel.

Cairo, MINA – Permanent representatives to the Arab League will hold an urgent meeting on Tuesday, at Palestine’s request, to discuss the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, WAM reported, ciiting an Arab League official Sunday.

Assistant Arab League Secretary-General for Palestinian Affairs Saeed Abu Ali said that the meeting will touch on Israeli violations against the Palestinians during a peaceful protest on the occasion of ‘Land Day’ on March 30th.

He stressed that the international community should assume full responsibility toward putting an end to these crimes and form a investigation committee that would hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its actions and protect the Palestinian people.

Israeli forces have killed at least 16 Palestinians and injured more than 1,400 others during and following the protests last Friday. (T/RS5/RS1)
