About 20 Palestinians From Besieged Gaza Visit Relatives in Israeli Jail

Gaza, MINA – A new batch of Gaza’s families were allowed access out of the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip at daybreak Monday to visit their relatives in Israeli prisons.

Spokeswoman for the International Red Cross Committee, Suheir Zaqout, said 20 Palestinians from the blockaded Gaza Strip headed to Ramon lock-up to visit 10 Palestinian detainees, PIC reported.

Nearly 250 Palestinian detainees are locked up in Ramon jail, established in 2006 near the Nafha desert prison. Over 7,000 Palestinian prisoners are locked up in Israeli penitentiaries, including 300 Gazans.

About 214 detainees died as a result of preplanned medical neglect in Israeli dungeons.(R/R04/RS5)
