Washington, 6 Sya’ban 1438/3 May 2017 (MINA) – President Mahmoud Abbas said Tuesday night that “without a state on the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital, we will not accept any solution.”

Abbas’s statement came during a meeting with the representatives of the Palestinian community and heads of Arab organizations in the United States, at his residence in Washington DC.

The President briefed the representatives of the Palestinian community and heads of Arab organizations on the latest developments in the Palestinian cause.

He praised the Palestinian community in America and said it has always believed in the justice of the Palestinian cause.

Abbas is scheduled to meet with US President Donlad Trump on Wednesday after his arrival in Washington DC Tuesday.

According to WAFA, Abbas and Trump will explore avenues of restarting the peaace talks between Palestinian an Israelis and the role the US Adminsitrationcould play in ths regard. (T/RS05/RS01)
