Kuwait’s permanent UNESCO representative Ambassador Mishal Hayat.
Paris, MINA – The Francophonie group of nations (OIF) at UNESCO unanimously approved Kuwait as an observer member on Monday.
The decision reflects the international recognition of Kuwait’s humanitarian efforts, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s permanent UNESCO representative said.

It also illustrates the international community’s confidence in Kuwaiti diplomacy on a global scale, Ambassador Mishal Hayat told KUNA.
Kuwait’s UNESCO mission takes great interest in the affairs of the organization of 57 French-speaking countries, routinely attending the group’s functions and activities, said Hayat. (T/RS5/RS1)
