Muslims March against Terrorism

Brussels, 17 Shawwal 1438/ 11 July 2017 (MINA) – About 60 European Muslim religious figures arrived in Brussels Monday as part of a tour of European cities affected by terrorism,KUNA reported.
They gathered in front of of the old stock exchange in central Brussels and condemned all forms of terrorism no matter who commits them.
Imam Hassen Chalghoumi, the president of the French imams conference and co-organiser of the march, thanked Belgian interior minister Jan Jambon for his presence. He reminded that, according to Islam, the man who kills an innocent man, kills all mankind.
Jambon said: “Taking security measures does not suffice if we wish to eradicate the root of violent extremism. We must also strengthen our social fabric. We will support you!.”
“Bringing together cities harassed by terrorism is an act of strength,” said the Brussels Alderman of Religious Service, Alain Courtois.
The march began in Paris and stopped in Berlin before arriving in Brussels from where It will return to France. (T/RS5/RS1)
