Garuda Indonesia Among the Top 10 Airlines in the World Ranked by TripAdvisor

Garuda Indonesia has emerged in the top 10 rankings among the list of 10 best airline companies of the world, after Japan Airlines (Japan), Thai Smile (Thailand) and Alaska Airlines (US)

The best of airlines in the world have been compiled by a travel planning site TripAdvisor, but there is not a British airline in sight in the top 10. In fact, many well-known carriers from British Airways to Virgin Atlantic to American Airlines, didn ‘ t feature in the list.

Emirates took the top spot, Followed by Singapore Airlines and Brazil’s Azul. Two American the airlines featured in the top 10, Jet Blue in fourth place, and Alaska Airlines in ninth, cityam.com reported on Monday.

The UK’s Jet2 did come top among the low-cost airlines in Europe though, beating Aegean Airlines and S7 Airlines into second into third place.

Dubai-based Emirates Also ranked top for having the best first class and economy service among airlines. Russia’s Aeroflot was deemed the best for business class and Air New Zealand for best premium economy.

The winners were determined using an algorithm taking into account the “quantity and quality” of airline ratings sand reviews submitted by travelers worldwide, over a 12-month period.

Customers can rate the airlines on everything from legroom to seat comfort to customer service to in-flight entertainment, as well as submitting written feedback.

Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates, said: “The fact that the awards are a result of Unbiased reviews and feedback speaks to our commitment to deliver a superior travel experience for our customers.”

Among the top 10 global list, Asia holds the highest number of individual winners, with total of five (Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, Japan Airlines, Thai Smile and Garuda Indonesia); followed by the United States, with two airlines in the top rankings: JetBlue and Alaska Airlines, in fourth and ninth places, respectively.

Garuda Indonesia included in the list thanks to its services to consumers and cleanliness.

The Indonesian flag-carrier airlines is also favored by many consumers around the world for its fleet that are new and comfortable seat configuration, even for long-haul flights. (T / RS5 / RS1)
