End of Ramadan Appeal: “Qualifying Piety to Achieve World Peace”

Feeling gratitude for the gift that Allah gave to the Muslims and the world with the blessing of the holy month of Ramadan in 1437 Hijri, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) submits the following appeal:

  1. With His Great Mercy, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala educates people through fasting and other worships during Ramadan to gain pious quality, the most noble degree as mentioned in the Qur’an, Surah Al Hujurat 13: “… indeed, the most honorable of you with Allah is that [one] who is most pious to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Omniscient, All-Aware.
  2. With such piety, every individual Muslim continues his/her life after Ramadan with better quality than ever before. Pious Muslims will be able to maintain significant closeness to Allah Ta’ala every time. They were liberated from dependence on false gods besides Allah that could weaken their hearts so that life filled with fear and sadness. Their hearts were filled with belief in Allah, happiness as a servant, love and compassion for fellow human beings and is committed to do the best and keep away from iniquity in the rest of their life. Their belief so intact as illustrated in the Quran At Taubah verse 51: “Say, “Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector. And upon Allah let the believers rely”
  3. Driven by this conscientiousness, we would like to invite the Muslims to implement the value and spirit of Taqwa in everyday life through a variety of deeds and real work of building the world and free mankind from fear, sorrow, hunger, ignorance, injustice, violence and occupation. In this regard, the following agendas can be the priority for the post-Ramadan:
  • Continue to glorify the Qur’an as is done throughout the month of Ramadan by  practicing the Qur’an values and teachings in daily life;
  • Increase the efforts to save Muslims from illiteracy and ignorance by providing affordable and high quality education starting from Muslim families and communities based on good moral characters.
  • Increase the efforts to establish the unity of Muslim Ummah in accordance with the guidance from the Qur’an and Sunnah by building a more constructive communication between the various elements within and outside the Muslim world to resolve any potential conflicts and by building common resilience against various attacks that lead to disunity of the Ummah;
  • Increase the efforts to defend all the interests of Islam and Muslims, especially such minorities and oppressed Muslim as in Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, China, Europe and America;
  • Deploy serious attention and real help for Muslims in Syria, Palestine and Iraq as well as other parts of Middle East countries that currently deal with prolong devastation. Aid should be directed not only to address the humanitarian crisis, but also to find sound solution to the leadership and multifaceted crisis in the Arabian Peninsula.
  • Building the welfare of Muslims in particular and mankind in general based on the principle of “ta’awun ‘alalbirri wat taqwa” (helping each other in goodness and piety) and abolishing oppression of man by another (exploitation de l’homme par l’homme);
  • Harness the power of media to achieve various goals to defend the interests of Islam and Muslims and mankind as promoting justice, peace and world order.
  1. Only to Allah we hope and put our trust. May Allah the Almighty provide relief to the Muslims and the whole human kind from all forms of devastation, aamen.
