INDONESIAN TEAM WON YOUNG SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS SINGAPORE

Singapore, 13 Muharram 1437/26 October 2015 (MINA) – Four Indonesian team won the Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) 2015 in Singapore, beated 15 other finalists. They initiated social mission business, impact on society, and sustainable in terms of management and operations.

Executive Director of the Singapore International Foundation (SIF), Jean Tan, in a press statement received Sunday said one of the main keys is how the program offers the youth from all over the world an invaluable opportunity to collaborate in exchanging ideas. Antara quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reported.

The six programs that have been executed this year, according to him, is very touching, and can be watched by the young people from all over the world in establishing  good relations from a common passion to social change.

One of the jury member who is also the Chairman of the Asian Philanthropic Ventures Chua said the young generation today is very different from previous generations which is more exposed and educated, having different world view.

They see themselves as pioneers and champions, having  great intentions to make changes.

Through the SIF and YSE, Chua wanted to maximize the intention to bring great social impact in community groups in Singapore and other regions.

He felt confident that these activities contribute substantially in strengthening the relationship between peoples of the world, encouraging more acts of kindness.

The idea of ​​being a social entrepreneur, according to him, it sometimes feels heavy, but powerful network of YSE Program help participants in realizing the providing clean water to the world community in need.

The Indonesian teams who won in YSE are Ecodoe, Osiris, STARTIC, and WateROAM which consist of 16 personels in each team.  Each team receives funding from 20,000 dollars Singapore to enhance their social entrepreneurship. (L/R03/R04)
