Jakarta, MINA – Aqsa Working Group (AWG) held another solidarity rally for Palestine following the renewed attack on the Indonesian Hospital (RSI) in northern Gaza by Israeli airstrikes.
Under the banner “RSI Diserang Lagi, Zionis Tantang Indonesia. Lawan, Lindungi RSI” (RSI Attacked Again – Zionists Challenge Indonesia. Resist and Protect RSI), the rally marked AWG’s 12th solidarity action. It took place on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time in front of the US Embassy in Jakarta.
AWG Chairman M. Anshorullah strongly condemned the assault on RSI and called for accountability for what he described as a gross violation of humanitarian principles.
“AWG strongly condemned the Israeli attack on the Indonesian Hospital. This is an act of injustice that cannot be tolerated,” said Anshorullah.

He urged international legal organizations to take immediate action to bring perpetrators of war crimes to justice, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet.
Anshorullah also expressed support for the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), which operates RSI, and for the medical personnel on the ground risking their lives in the name of humanity.
“The Indonesian Hospital represents the love and solidarity of the Indonesian people for Palestine. An attack on RSI is essentially a direct challenge to Indonesia,” he stated.
Calling for unified action, he encouraged Indonesians from all walks of life to stand in defense of RSI and the Palestinian people suffering under the ongoing assault.

“Let us unite and act collectively to protect RSI in Gaza. This is a true expression of solidarity and resistance against oppression,” he urged.
AWG also pressed the Indonesian government to take firm and lawful diplomatic measures under international humanitarian law to hold Israel accountable.
“The government must not hesitate to take decisive action to help end the genocide in Gaza,” he added.
AWG affirmed its commitment to continue holding public solidarity actions as a reflection of Indonesia’s consistent support for Palestinian independence and resistance against occupation.[]
