Palestinian couples tie the knot in Istanbul.

Istanbul, MINA – Turkey’s Mehir Foundation held a mass wedding party for 100 Turkey-based Palestinian couples at Sultanbeyli Sports Hall on Saturday night, KUNA reported.

The party was held under the slogan of “Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa – theme of our joy” in collaboration with the Association of Palestinian Scholars and Sultanbeyli municipality.

It gathered large numbers of well-wishers from various Muslim nationalities, notably head of Mehir Foundation Aygul Erdem and head of the Association of Palestinian Scholars in exile Nawaf Al-Takrouri.

Four trucks loaded with household goods, including clothing, home textile, furniture and gold coins for the couples set out from central Konya province on Thursday, Erdem said.
