20 Rohingya Ethnic Arrive at East Aceh, Indonesia

Banda Aceh, MINA – A total of 20 Rohingya ethnic arrived at Kuala Idi, Blang Geulumpang village, Idi Rayeuk District, East Aceh Regency, Indonesia, by sailing boat.

According to Panglima Laot (Indigenous Territories of the Sea Region) in the Idi Razali region, said the Rohingya ethnic group was not stranded but deliberately docked or temporarily stopped due to bad weather in the sea area.

“They were not stranded, but they either docked or stopped for a while in Kuala Idi because this morning at around 4:00 a.m. the weather was bad at sea,” Razali said on Tuesday.

He said Rohingya who docked in Aceh used wooden boats with a capacity below 10 Grose tonnage boarded by 20 spiritual ethnicities with an average age of over 25 years.

“Their condition is healthy, no one is disabled or injured,” said Razali.

The Rohingya wooden boat arrived at Kuala Idi this morning at around 8:00 a.m., according to his confession, the Rohingya were aiming to Malaysia, because bad weather made Rohingya ethnic enter into Kuala Idi
