US Denies Discussing Annexation of West Bank with Israel

Washington, MINA – The US denied speaking with Israel regarding an alleged plan to annex the West Bank.

“Reports that the United States discussed with Israel an annexation plan for the West Bank are false,” said White House Spokesperson Josh Raffel.

“The United States and Israel have never discussed such a proposal, and the President’s focus remains squarely on his Israeli-Palestinian peace initiative.”

Raffel’s comments come after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quoted as saying that he had been in discussions over the settlements with US officials. (T/RS5/RS1)
