UNRWA Denies Intention to Reduce Service

Gaza, 5 Muharram 1438/6 October 2016 (MINA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) denied Wednesday intention to reduce its aid and services in Gaza Strip.

The UN agency’s declaration came shortly after the union of UNRWA’s workers declared a one-day strike in the Gaza Strip to protest its cuts to aid and services.

The agency pointed out that its public services, schools, clinics and other vital services are open despite the ongoing strike, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.
