The announcement follows a meeting between CIA chief and Secretary of State Nominee Mike Pompeo and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week.
It is seen as a goodwill gesture ahead of the summit meeting between Trump and North Korean leader, due in the coming weeks, to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula (T/RS5/RS1)
