Gaza, 19 Muharram 1436/12 November 2014 (MINA) – A worker was killed and several others injured after a tank containing a fuel exploded in Kareem Abu Salim commercial crossing, southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning local time.
Eyewitnesses reported that they heard a sound of a huge explosion and flames were seen soaring. The fuel originally to be used for electric generators in Gaza.
Mohammed Yousef Bahloul (20) was the died victim. He was rushed to the Al Najjar Hospital, while Yousef Bahlol was seriously injured and was rushed to Rafah Hospital, before being transferred to as Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
The fireman from the civil defense immediately went to the location to extinguish the fire and rescue workers. Until the news was revealed, the caused of the blast was not found yet.(L/P008/R03)
