Scholars Urge World’s Government to Quash Deals with Israeli Occupation

Istanbul, MINA – Dozens of Muslim scholars on Saturday urged the world’s Arab and Islamic states to cancel all deals and conventions struck with the Israeli occupation.

The calls were released in the concluding statement of the Conference of the Nation’s Scholars against Political Normalization with Israel, which kicked off on Friday in Istanbul.

The statement condemned all forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation, dubbing them illegitimate steps and horrendous crimes, PIC reported.

The scholars spoke out against the crimes perpetrated by the “Israeli aggressors” who have forced Muslims out of their homes and holy sites.

“Palestine is an Islamic land and no single inch of it shall ever be given up, no matter the pretext . . . . Recognizing Israel is the most dishonorable of all acts of betrayal,” the statement read.

It urged the Arab and Islamic government to deactivate all agreements and deals signed with the Israeli occupation, which the scholars said are illegitimate and invalid.

The statement was issued on the sidelines of the so-called 9th Ruwad Beit al-Maqdis Conference, wrapped up on Saturday in Turkey’s metropolitan city of Istanbul.(R/R04/P2)
