Riyad Al-Maliki Will Visit Indonesia to Attend the Palestinian Solidarity Week

Jakarta, MINA – Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki will visit Indonesia on 15-20 October 2018 and attend the Palestinian solidarity week.

“God willing, in the middle of next month (October) we will receive the arrival of the Palestinian Foreign Minister and we will hold a Palestinian Solidarity Week,” said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia A.M Fachir in Jakarta.

Fachir said, the arrival of the Palestinian Foreign Minister was an attempt to reaffirm Indonesia’s support for Palestine.

“The arrival of the Palestinian Foreign Minister is also to increase our synergy, because it is not only the government that shows support but the Indonesian public also needs to show a support for Palestine.”

According to him, in addition to formal meetings between officials of the two countries, the Palestinian solidarity week will also be filled with discussion and action at the time of “car free day”.

It also aims to further increase public awareness regarding the issue of Palestine.(LT/R04/)
