RAMI HAMDALLAH: OUR GOAL TO END OCCUPATION

Gaza, 18 Dzulhijjah 1435/12 Oktober 2014 (MINA) –   Palestinian unity government  Prime Minister  Rami Hamdallah said the main purpose of  its government is to end the ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestinian.

“Our current responsibility is the Gaza reconstruction, the lifting of Israeli blockade and the opening of all of Gaza’s borders, and our main goal is ending the Israeli occupation as a whole,” said Hamdallah in a press conference  during  his visit to Gaza, Thursday (9/10).

Hamdallah also said his government priority is to restore the lives of Gazans  by providing good treatments for injuries, the rebuilding of  Gaza Strip as well as providing a variety of educational programs.

“The availability of educational projects, treatments of the wounded, and reconstructions  will be  our top priorities, but the most important is to restore our people’s rights to live freely, noble and far from  hostility, war and destruction,” he said.

Hamdallah promised to meet the needs of Gazans as a whole, and will raise all aspects in the Gaza Strip in order to achieve a noble life.

“On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas  and reconciliation government, I convey important things directly, that we will meet your needs with the start of employment improvement,” he said.

He added, it will start the reconstruction and rehabilitation of victims, realizing real growth in order to generate all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, and provide noble livelihood.

Hamdallah with his delegation arrived for the first time in the blockaded strip since the division of governments (Hamas government in Gaza and Fatah government in West Bank),  emerged seven years ago. The visit was somewhat historic, as the division of governments caused bloodshed between both.(L/K01/R04/P3)
