President Abbas Meets Japanese FM in Tokyo

Tokyo, MINA – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on a three day official visit to Japan, met today in Tokyo with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the region, as well as developing bilateral relations, WAFA reported.

President Abbas, who arrived in Tokyo earlier today and met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, also briefed Motegi on the living condition of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation and its practices against them.

He thanked Japan for its support of the legitimate Palestinian rights.

The president is also expected to meet the Japanese defense ministers and will also attend tomorrow ceremonies for Emperor Naruhito’s ascension to the throne.(T/R04/P2)
