PRCS: Israel Blocks Entry of Humanitarian Aid Trucks to Gaza

Gaza, MINA – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that Israeli occupation forces have blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, Palestine, via the Rafah land crossing, since Friday

The Palestinian News Agency Wafa reported, PRCS in a statement, said that the occupation authority had informed it of its decision to prevent organizations and entities working at the Rafah Land Crossing from bringing aid trucks from Egyptian territory to the Gaza Strip starting this evening Friday until further notice .

Israel’s decision ordered the crossing to be cleared of trucks on the Palestinian side as soon as possible.

PRCS stressed that this decision exacerbates the suffering of citizens, and further magnifies the challenges faced by humanitarian organizations seeking to alleviate the suffering of citizens and people displaced in connection with the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression in the Gaza Strip on Friday at 07.00, just minutes after a six-day humanitarian ceasefire.

The ceasefire allowed for the first time since the start of Israel’s aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7  the entry of trucks of humanitarian aid and aid. However, the number of aid trucks and fuel is not enough to meet the increasing needs of civilians considering the current humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. (T/RE1/P2)
