PATTANI ULEMA: MUSLIMS HAVE TO UNITE IF THEY WANT TO BE GLORIOUS

Pattani, 18 Safar 1436/11 December 2014 (MINA) – Member of Islamic Regional Counsel Bureau, Yala, Pattani, southern Thailand, Abdullah Abu Bakar said, Muslims should unite if they want to be glorious.

“The various conflicts that afflict most Muslims in some countries was due to the lack of unity among Muslims themselves in facing various problems,” Abu Bakar said while receiving a delegation from Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school, Indonesia Tuesday Dec. 2.

“Muslims from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries are all brothers and sisters because of the Allah’s favour ” said the founder of Ma’had at-Tazkiyyah ad-Diniyyah, Yala, Pattani, southern Thailand.

He and Pattani ulemas (Muslim Scholars) promoted the values of unity, brotherhood and affection of fellow Muslims. They agreed with the basic principles of unity and brotherhood in the struggle based on the Al-Quran and Hadith.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school delegation, K.H. Abul Hidayat Saerodjie, who is also the founder Board of Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school, Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, said the strength of Muslims was in the Al-Qur’an and the unity of Muslims. He added Muslim brotherhood would acquire blessing, prosperity and kindness in the world.

Both side agreed to cooperate in Islamic education and preaching.

Ma’had at-Tazkiyyah ad-Diniyyah was founded around 1967 by Ismail al-Fathoni. There are currently 540 students and about 40 teachers in Yala, Pattani. They apply Kingdom and Islamic boarding school model. Yala area, has a population of approximately 500 thousand, 98 percent are Muslims.

Participant in the event included Ahmad Zubaidi Ardlani (Tarbiyah leader in Jamaah Muslimin Hisbullah), Lili Sholehuddin (Representative of Al-Fatah Al-Muhajirun, Lampung), Wahyudi KS (Leader of Al-Fatah Cileungsi, Bogor), Agus Sudarmaji (Chairman of the Working Aqsha group /AWG), Ali Farkhan Thani (Editor of Mi’raj Islamic News Agency/MINA), and Dudin Shobaruddin (Representative of Al-Fatah Malaysia).
