Palestinian Issue Becomes Main Responsibility for Muslim: Ambassador

Ternate, MINA – Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Zuhair Al Shun emphasized that the Palestinian issue is still and will continue to be an important issue for the Arabs and Muslims.

“In fact, the Palestinian issue continues to be the main problem of the Arab nations and Muslims. Although, the crisis continues to occur in Arab countries,” he explained when delivering a keynote speech at the National Palestine Concern Seminar at Bellya Ballroom Hotel, Ternate, North Maluku on Saturday, November 2.

Israel wants to quell the hopes of Palestinian people to live comfortably and safely. For this reason, they continue to carry out various oppressions such as land grabbing and agriculture, destruction of houses and buildings, construction of Jewish settlements, and arrest of Palestinians. And this situation, according to him, will not end without international support.

“The world situation will never be safe as long as Palestine is still colonized. Then, we all lose if Palestinians have not yet achieved their independence, “he explained.

Zuhair expressed his gratitude and was happy because until now and so on, Indonesian people still stood up to defend Palestine. The two parties, he said, had a strong relationship.

He also invited Indonesians to visit Palestine and Al-Quds as a form of moral support for Palestinians. (T/Sj/P2)
