Ramallah, 25 Rajab 1437/03 May 2016 (MINA) – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned the racist calls by the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and settlers leaders on the enforcement of the Israeli law on Palestinian areas as an advanced step towards the annexation of the area classified as (C).

In a press release issued Monday, the Ministry said despite of the recent Israeli positions calling for the annexation of the West Bank to Israel, Israeli measures against the Palestinian people and their territories aims since a long time at paving the way for imposing new facts on the ground and caused big accumulations in this direction.

The statement added that the Israeli occupation authorities are attempting to build on such accumulations to achieve its objective namely the annexation of the Palestinian territories, referring in this respect to the explicit calls by Ayelet Shaked, the Minister of Justice in the Government of Benjamin Netenyahu for the need to realize equality between the law in Israel and the law enforced in “Judea and Samaria”.

In a separate occassion, the State of Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the recent Israeli calls for the imposition of Israeli law to the Palestinian territories.

“The Israeli calls for imposing the Israeli laws on Palestinian territories jeopardize the international efforts to resume peace talks and undermine any chances for peaceful settlement based on the two-state solution, stressing that these actions worsen tension in the region,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, carried by Qatar News Agency, QNA.

The statement renewed Qatar’s refusal to the Israeli measures which aim at the Judaization of the Palestinian territories. (T/R07/R01)
