Ramallah, MINA – Foreign and Expatriates Minister Riyad Al Maliki said Tuesday that there is some progress in the U.S. position regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

He told Voice of Palestine radio that the Palestinian leadership is continuing with its contacts with the US administration to revive the peace process.

The Palestinians have been complaining that after more than 20 meetings with the US peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, the U.S. has not yet stated a clear position on the two-state solution and Israel settlement activities in the occupied territories, WAFA News Agency reported.

Maliki also said that President Mahmoud Abbas is going to address the United Nations General Assembly in the middle of this month and that he will talk about the general situation in Palestine as well as Israeli violations and settlements.
