Palestine Ambassador Said Manama Conference Only Benefit for Israel and US
Jakarta, MINA – Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Zuhair Al Shun said the economic conference “Peace for Prosperity” initiated by the United States (US) held in Manama, Bahrain, would only benefit for Israel and US businessmen.
This was stated by Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al-Shun during a press conference related to the situation in the Middle East and Palestine along with the Middle East Directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of political parties, and community organizations, including Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) at the Palestinian Embassy, Jakarta on Wednesday 26 June.
The economic plan that took place on 25-26 June 2019 was said to be promoting prosperity for Palestinians.
However, Zuhair said, the results of the recommendations from the conference would only make it difficult for Palestinian people, because it did not begin with good intentions and there were many interests of US entrepreneurs.
Zuhair also stressed that the Palestinians did not attend at all from the series of economic plan agendas. How the conference can run, while Palestine as the recipient and executor of recommendations from the conference is not included.
“Palestine does not agree with the political decisions of the government of President Donald Trump that are more inclined towards Israel, because Israel is the real partner of Trump’s peace projects,” he said.
Zuhair also questioned assistance in the Manama Conference project given to US and Israel, not to Palestine. This is a deception, which later these projects will be used for the benefit of Israel itself.
Therefore, Israeli-Palestinian peace must be carried out in accordance with an international agreement that has been ratified by the United Nations.
Independence of the land itself is the real desire of the Palestinian people. With independence, Palestinian society can rise up like other nations.
Ambassador Zuhair also appreciated all the support of the people and nation of Indonesia, both politically and economically and would continue to fight as hard as possible to defend their land. (T/Ais/P2)
