Over 90 Gaza Protesters Injured by Israeli Bullet Fire

Gaza, MINA – Scores of protesters have been left injured on Monday evening after Israeli occupation forces violently attacked a maritime parade sailing off Gaza’s northern seashore, in a symbolic move seeking to lift the Israeli siege on the enclave.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said as many as 95 protesters have been left injured, including 26 with live ammunition.

Israeli soldiers opened fire and teargas at the protesters north of Gaza’s seashore, PIC reported.

Palestinian anti-occupation youth moved into Zikim and seized a soldier’s weapon. Clashes broke out shortly afterwards.

Palestinians were attacked as they joined the eighth maritime parade staged in the besieged Gaza enclave to push for lifting the Israeli siege on Gaza and speak up for the refugees’ right of return to their motherland.
