Over 300 West Bankers Detained in Jerusalem for Having No Entry Permits

Occupied Jerusalem, 23 Ramadan 1438/18 June 2017 (MINA) – The Israeli occupation police in Jerusalem have detained 350 Palestinians from the West Bank at the pretext that they entered or tried to enter the holy city with no permits, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

A spokeswoman for the police in the occupied holy city said the Israeli border police recently intensified its security measures and arrested until Saturday evening about 350 West Bankers with no entry permits.

The Israeli police decided to tighten its security measures in Occupied Jerusalem after premier Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday ordered the revocation of Ramadan entry permits for Palestinian families.

The police also said it would continue to arrest Palestinians who entered Jerusalem and its surrounding until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.(T/R04/RS5)
