Mahmoud Abbas Invites Jokowi, World leaders to Visit Palestine

Jakarta, 27 Jumada Al-Awwal 1437/7 March 2016 (MINA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas invited the Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and international leaders as well as its citizens to visit Palestine to see the real the situation that happening there.

On the event of the joint statement with Jokowi and OIC Secretary General Iyad Al-Madani, Jakarta, on Monday, Abbas revealed the poor condition of Al-Quds as the historic old city nowadays with various incidents of violence and discrimination commited by Israel.

One example, said Abbas, not only in the destruction of a holy site of Al-Aqsa. However, many historic churches are also have been destroyed.

Therefore, Abbas invited Jokowi and citizens of the world to witness what is happening in the only state that still under imperialism.

In addition, Abbas also expected the international community to see the condition of prisoners in Israeli jails that are subjected to discrimination and not treated like human beings.

Abbas reaffirmed that there is no Palestine without Al-Quds. Both Palestine and Israel want to make East Al Quds as its capital.

“Al-Quds is the heart of Palestine. Separating Palestinian and Al-Quds is unreasonable,” said Abbas.

In addition, Jokowi reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for the Palestinian cause. He urged the establishment of the State of Palestine to the United Nations. (L / R03 / R04)
