Jakarta, 19 Ramadan 1438/14 June 017 (MINA) – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will invite former United States president Barack Obama for a luncheon at the Bogor Palace by the end of this month.

“The president has invited Obama to have lunch at the Bogor Palace on June 30,” Antara News quoted presidential spokesman Johan Budi as saying here on Tuesday.

In addition to meeting Jokowi, the 44th president of the US is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech in the opening session of the 4th Congress of Indonesian Diaspora held by the Indonesian Diaspora Network Global (IDNG) on July 1.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees IDNG, Dino Patti Djalal, noted that Obama’s keynote address will be his first speech in Asia after reportedly delivering a private paid speech during a visit to Italy.
