Jerusalem, MINA – On Thursday morning, a large group of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, amid strict restrictions placed on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the sacred site, Palinfo reported.
Local sources report that at least 172 settlers, along with three Israeli intelligence officers, entered the mosque through its Maghariba Gate under the protection of police.
During their visit, the settlers provocatively toured the mosque’s courtyards, with some receiving lectures from rabbis about the alleged Temple Mount. Several of them also engaged in Talmudic prayers, further escalating tensions at the Islamic holy site.
At the same time, Israeli occupation forces imposed severe movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers, preventing many from accessing the mosque and performing their religious duties. []
