Israeli Strikes Kill 21 in Gaza, Including Children and Women, as Assault Intensifies

Gaza, MINA – The Israeli occupation forces intensified their military campaign across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, leaving at least 21 Palestinians dead and dozens more injured since dawn, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Palestine chronicle reported.

In southern Gaza, a deadly Israeli airstrike hit an apartment in the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Yunis, killing four civilians, including two children and a woman as reported by a medical source to Anadolu Agency.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that multiple Palestinians were also wounded when Israeli forces bombed a tent housing displaced families in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis.

In central Gaza, Al-Awda Hospital confirmed the death of one person and injuries to five others, including a child, following an airstrike near Al-Qassam Mosque in Nuseirat. In a separate attack on a home in eastern Al-Zawayda, two more Palestinians, including a child were wounded.

Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles and drones opened heavy gunfire east of Jabalia and Beit Lahia, escalating the assault in the densely populated areas.

The death toll continues to rise amid the ongoing onslaught, with at least 21 deaths confirmed across the Gaza Strip by Saturday evening.

Since Israel broke the March 18 ceasefire, its intensified bombardment has killed thousands across Gaza. The campaign began after a Palestinian resistance operation on October 7, 2023, and has since killed over 53,000 Palestinians, wounded more than 122,000, and left over 14,000 missing, according to official figures.
