Arizona, 21 Jumadil Akhir 1438/0 March 017 (MINA) – An Islamophobic thug has broken into a mosque in Arizona and to tear up copies of the Koran, dailymail.co.uk reported.
The suspect entered the Islamic Center of Tuscon wearing a University of Arizona t-shirt and a black hat at 3.30am on Monday.
Images of the torn-up religious scriptures were shared by the center, whose members have been left ‘disheartened’ by the act.

In a statement released on the center’s Facebook page, a spokesman wrote: ‘The Islamic Center of Tucson (ICT) was broken into and vandalized. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
‘The camera footage leads us to believe the sole intent of this individual was to damage the center’s religious property.
‘The Tucson Police Department responded quickly. As always, they were kind, courteous, and thorough with their investigation.
‘Although we are disheartened by this incident, we understand that this is an isolated incident.’

The perpetrator has yet to be found and the center has called upon the people of Tuscon to help bring him to justice. (T/RS5/RS1)
