Yogyakarta, 20 Ramadhan 1438/15 Juni 2017 – The Rector of Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), Nandang Sutrisno, has said that his institution provides scholarship opportunities for Palestinian students to study at UII.

Nandang said the issue of Palestine has always been an important topic to be discussed among UII academics. As the oldest Islamic university in Indonesia, we are concerned about the issues of Muslims in the world.

“I am grateful to finally be able to hear first hand the latest information about Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque from His Holiness Priest, usually I only read on the internet,” he explained.

In this case, Sheikh Mustafa also hoped that the issue of Palestine and Al-Aqsa be a daily information for Indonesian people..

Shaikh Mustafa’s visit was welcomed by several vice rectors and dean of UII.

While in Indonesia, Imam Masjid Al-Aqsa will conduct a da’wah safari under the theme “Ramadhan Silaturahim for the Love bond of Indonesia – Palestine” by visiting at least eight provinces in the archipelago, such as DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Lampung, West Kalimantan, Nusa Southeast West, and others.
