IOF ARRESTS PALESTINIAN, CLOSES ROAD IN AL-KHALIL

Al- Khalil, 6 Dzulhijjah 1436/20 September 2015 (MINA) – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) rounded up a Palestinian young man at the entrance of Beit Ummar town in northern al-Khalil city.

Mohammad Awad, the spokesman of the Popular Committees against Settlement in Beit Ummar, said the IOF soldiers erected a military barrier at the town’s entrance and arrested a 19-year-old Palestinian. He was identified as Khalil Mohammad Sabarneh.

Captive Sabarneh was put in a military jeep and taken to an unknown destination. He is an ex-detainee in Israeli jails, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Saturday (19/9).

In a similar context, the Israeli troops closed a road connecting several Palestinian towns to the west of the city. The closure lasted for hours for alleged security reasons.

Eyewitness said that the road closure blocked Palestinian traffic in the nearby towns. Palestinians had to take longer ways to avoid the traffic jam resulted. The Israeli forces deliberately tighten the noose on Palestinians in the area for the interest of Jewish settlers, the eyewitnesses underlined.(T/P008/R03)
