INTERNATIONAL ULEMA UNITY CALLS ‘ALERT’ TO PROTECT AL-AQSA

Gaza, 10 Muharram 1435/3 November 2014 (MINA) – International ulema unity called for all Muslims to impose “Alert” in protecting and maintaining Al-Aqsa Mosque which was closed completely by Israel.

“We call on the Islamic world to move on and do protecting and maintaining Al-Aqsa mosque, Al-Quds and Palestine,” spokeman of International ulema unity told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) correspondent in the Gaza Strip, Sunday.

In a statement signed by Syeikh Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi, the International ulema unity also condemned Israel that imposed discrimination against Palestinian worshipers.

Israeli soldiers shut down Al-Aqsa compound completely for the first time in some last decades on Wednesday night. It happened after shooting a rabbi and Israeli right-wing activist in Al-Quds city.

Meanwhile Jewish extremist organizations incited their colleagues to tarnish the Islamic holy sites on Thursday morning. It responsed to the murdering attempt of Yehuda Glick.

Hundred of Muslim worshipers performed the dawn prayer in the streets outside the Al-Aqsa mosque compound after Israeli soldiers closed all entrances.

There were only the director of Al-Aqsa mosque and the security guards who were allowed to enter the mosque. Muadzin (a prayer caller) was also banned to enter the mosque. (L / P009/R03)
