Jakarta, MINA – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized the nation’s unwavering support for Palestinian independence. Prabowo delivered this statement at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Tuesday, following his attendance at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
“My resolve is to defend Palestine for decades. Since I was young, we have continuously supported the independence of Palestine and its people,” the President affirmed.
Prabowo also highlighted Indonesia’s concrete contributions in aiding the Palestinian people, ranging from the delivery of humanitarian aid to food logistics.
“Alhamdulillah, we are able to contribute. Indonesia has been active all this time; we send aid, we send ships, we send Hercules aircraft multiple times. I believe the people of Palestine and the Middle East see Indonesia’s commitment. We also sent thousands of tons of rice, and we will remain committed to supporting this,” he stated.

During the Gaza Peace Summit, Israel agreed to withdraw its military forces from the Gaza region, Palestine. This was one of the points of agreement reached at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
“So, we came to express support and provide assistance. What’s important is that the ceasefire is now in effect, and then the Israeli forces will be immediately withdrawn,” the President said.
Furthermore, the President mentioned that he also witnessed the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which is currently being implemented.[]
