Hundreds of Mass Participate in Peace Action of Al Aqsa Solidarity
Jakarta, MINA – Hundreds of mass on Monday, August 19th participated in the peaceful protest of Al Aqsa solidarity. The action was organized by the Humanitarian Institution Aqsa Working Group (AWG) and The youth of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) at the Horse Carriage Statue, National Monument, Central Jakarta.
“In this action, Indonesian Muslims are calling on Muslim leaders to care about the Al-Aqsa Mosque and take concrete steps to save Al-Aqsa,” said AWG Chairman Agus Sudarmaji who is also in charge of the action.
Agus stressed, this action also invites the world’s Muslims to care and think about the safety of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The coordinator of the Solidarity Peace Action to defend Al Aqsa, Ridwan Thalib, said that the participants of the action came from the Jakarta area and several regions of Banten and West Java such as Sukabumi, Garut, Bandung, and Tasikmalaya.
Meanwhile, one of the participants, Husaibah, said this solidarity action was a form of their love for Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine who were struggling to maintain the sanctity of the Al Aqsa mosque.
Another participant Samiyati (63) also said this action was a form of criticism of Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people.
“Although we cannot help in the battlefield, at least through this action we show full support for Palestine,” he said.
This peaceful act of solidarity in the defense of the Al Aqsa Mosque is a form of condemnation of the Israeli population’s attack on Palestinian Muslims while worshiping at the Al Aqsa Mosque on Eid al-Adha 1440 H / 11 August 2019. (L/Ast/P2)
