Ramallah, 24 Safar 1436/17 December 2014 (MINA) – Palestinian minister of health Jawad Awad appealed to the international community and its human rights groups to urgently intervene to curb Israel’s indiscriminate killing of Palestinian civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a press release on Tuesday, minister Awad stressed the need for providing immediate protection for the Palestinians against Israel’s violations, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

He strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces for their arbitrary killing of 21-year-old Mahmoud Adwan and their use of lethal force during overnight clashes early today with Palestinian young men in Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.

For his part, activist Salah al-Khawaja, spokesman for the popular committee against Israel’s settlement and wall construction in the West Bank, said that the murder of Mohamed Adwan is compelling evidence that the Israeli occupation regime is persistent in its crimes against the Palestinians.

Khawaja stated on his Facebook page that the appropriate response to Israel’s crimes needs a Palestinian political and popular unity leading to a massive uprising that would turn upside down all its security, political and colonial beliefs.

He stressed the need for the Palestinian people to immediately join the international criminal court in order to take legal action against Israeli war criminals.

He also called for forming an international network advocating and rallying support for the political, commercial, academic and military boycott campaign against Israel.(T/P008/R03)
