HANIYEH INVITES JORDANIAN PM TO VISIT GAZA
Gaza, 22 Muharram 1435/26 November 2013 (MINA) – Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh Tuesday invited his Jordanian counterpart Abdullah Al-Nusour to visit the Gaza Strip and to attend the potential expansion of the hospital to be carried out in April.
They discussed the Palestinian-Jordanian relations and the situation in the region. AlRay news media reported quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).
Haniyeh briefed Nusour on the ongoing Israeli violations in the occupied territories including Judaization of Jerusalem, settlement building, and the continuing raids on the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian crises of the blockade.
He asked him to re-open the Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in the Gaza Strip, pointing to its significant role in providing relief services to Palestinians in Gaza.
Haniyeh also called for the development of the Gaza-based Jordan’s Field Hospital by promoting the logistical and medical support of it, and expressed his appreciation of the services it provided to the Gazans.
Haniyeh thanked the patronage extended by of King Abdullah II of Jordan to the occupied city of Jerusalem, stressing the firm position rejecting the resettlement in Jordan, and the Palestinian refugees’ right to return.
For his part, Nusour expressed his pride in the Palestinian people, especially of the Gaza Strip, extending the King of Jordan’s greetings to Gazans.
He promised to resume the work of JHCO in Gaza, and to increase the Kingdom’s medical and logistical support to the Jordan’s Field Hospital.
The two sides stressed on the need for keeping up the mutual contact. (T/P01/P04).
