Hamas Fighters Shoot Down Israeli Drones in Gaza

Gaza, MINA – Palestinian Hamas resistance movement shot down an Israeli drone in the Gaza Strip, a day after the occupation regime carried out a new wave of air strikes against the blockaded area.

Palestinian media reported that Hamas resistance fighters intercepted and dropped a quadcopter drone east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday night, September 9, Press TV reported.

Israeli military has confirmed that an unmanned aircraft crashed in the southern Gaza Strip. The military said that an investigation into the incident was underway.

The wreckage is now in the hands of Hamas, according to media reports.

It is the second drone missing from Israeli army in the past 24 hours.

Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah earlier said its air defense forces shot down an Israeli military drone outside the southern city of Ramyah on Monday morning, amid rising tensions between the group and Israeli military. (T/Sj/P2)
