West Bank, 14 Dzulhijjah 1436/28 September 2015 (MINA) – Senior Hamas leader Hosam Badran on Sunday called for intensifying efforts to thwart the Israeli break-ins and vandalism at Muslims’ holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Badran sounded the alarm over the Israeli intents to divide the Mosque spatially and temporally and impose a fait accompli on the ground, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Monday (28/9).

He called for the need to raise people’s awareness and mobilize their support for al-Aqsa as the only key to foil Israel’s Judaization schemes.

Badran hailed the Palestinian residents of the 1948 occupied territories for declaring Sunday a day of vigil at Al-Aqsa and for taking part in marches and campaigns in support for such a sacred place of worship—the third holiest site in Islam.

“Our people in the West Bank should rally round their brothers and sisters in Occupied Jerusalem . . . and keep resisting the occupation at all flashpoints,” he said.

“Israel should bear in mind that we, Palestinians, will never turn blind eyes to what is going on at Al-Aqsa,” the Hamas spokesman further stated.

Badran urged the Palestinian Authority to cease security coordination with the Israeli occupation, unshackle all political detainees, and boost national resistance so as to defend Al-Aqsa and Occupied Jerusalem against Israel’s sacrilegious plots.(T/P008/R03)
