Disaster Agency: Double Natural Disaster Cause Tsunami in Sunda Strait

Jakarta, MINA – The tsunami wave that hit most of the coastal area of ​​the Sunda Strait was caused by a deadly duet of natural phenomena namely underwater avalanches and the eruption of Anak Krakatau volcano.

This was said by Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the spokesman of the National Disaster Management Agency when giving a press statement regarding the handling of the tsunami emergency in the Sunda Strait at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Tuesday.
