Bardan Calls For Efforts to Stop Danger of West Bank Security Cameras

Doha, 20 Muharram 1438/21 October 2016 (MINA) – Hamas spokesman Husam Badran has called for making coordinated national and popular efforts to confront the threat which the presence of security cameras is posing to the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.

Badran said that the surveillance cameras in the West Bank have become a liability to the Palestinian resistance and narrowed the chances of its success and continuity, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported, Saturday (21/10).

He underlined that the presence of such cameras on roads and at the entrances to Israeli settlements as well as those installed by Palestinian citizens outside their homes and stores entail national action because they compromised resistance cells and their operations against the occupation.

He pointed to the gravity of what happened two days ago, when the Israeli occupation army used a security camera video recording to identify members of a resistance group in Ni’lin town after they carried out a shooting attack on the illegal settlement of Benjamin in Ramallah.

He warned that the failure to remove those cameras would expose the resistance to more dangers and obstruct its growing activities in the West Bank.(T/P008/R07)
