Arab League Condemns Attack of Jewish Settlers on Al-Mughir Village

Cairo, MINA – Arab League strongly condemned the attacks of Jewish extremist settlers on Al-Mughir, a village near Ramallah, which left one Palestinian dead and wounded dozens more.

The League’s Assistant General Secretary for the Occupied Palestinian and Arab Lands Said Abu Lai called on the international community and the United Nations to stop his silence, Palinfo reported, quoted by MINA on Monday.

Abu Ali said, the daily murder crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Authority, confirmed the continued escalation.

According to Abu Ali, provocation and international silence, as well as the support of the United States, encouraged the Israeli Occupation Authority to launch acts of hostility towards the Palestinians who are now isolated.

“The incident in the village of Al-Mughir took the form of homicide and the use of live ammunition. This is a prelude to the Israeli election campaign, where extremists compete in Tel Aviv to shed Palestinian blood,” Abu Ali said.

He called on the international community to fulfill their responsibilities and provide international protection. He also hoped they could pressure Israel to commit to applicable international laws and regulations, such as Palestinian rights, UN resolutions and human rights.

Palestinians held a peaceful demonstration in the village of Al-Mughir which was threatened with confiscation by Israeli authorities. They protested the construction of an illegal settlement post in the eastern part of the village. (T/Sj/P2)
