Arab Journalists to Visit Israel Next Week
Occupied Jerusalem, MINA – Israel’s foreign ministry said Monday that it would receive a delegation of Arab journalists, who would fly to Tel Aviv next week, according to Israeli satellite channel i24.
The delegation will be composed of nine journalists, whose identities and countries have not been revealed, PIC reported.
The journalists intend to visit several places in Israel and the occupied territories, including the Knesset headquarters, Yad Vashem Holocaust museum and the Aqsa Mosque.
The visit falls within Tel Aviv’s efforts to achieve a rapprochement with new Arab countries, especially with Gulf states.
During the last two years, several Arab delegations of media and political figures as well as businessmen had visited Israel in coordination with their governments, which seek to normalize relations with Tel Aviv.
Recently, Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that there were strong secret ties with Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain, especially with regard to the efforts to confront Iran.(R/R04/RS5)
