Gaza, MINA – A Palestinian teen was killed, and many others wounded, in clashes with the Israeli forces on the northern and eastern borders with the Gaza Strip on Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

Abdulrahman Hussein Abu Hemisa, 16, was “martyred” during clashes with the Israelis east of the Bureij refugee camp, central Gaza, the ministry’s spokesman Ashraf Al-Qedra said.

He added that many others were wounded by Israeli fire in different parts of the Gaza borders, among them four near Jabalya, northwest of the Strip.

Witnesses told KUNA that the Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian protesters, wounding many of them who were hurried to hospitals.

Over the past couple of days, the Palestinian factions and others popular bodies in the Strip called for protests in support of Al-Aqsa, and to manifest rejection of the Israeli policy toward the Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem. (T/RS5/RS1)
