Islamic Jihad Conveys Messages in The Fifth Extraordinary OIC Summit in Jakarta
Gaza, 28 Jumada Awwal 1437/7 March 2016 (MINA) – A spokesman for the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza, Ahmad Mudlallal, Islami said they welcomed the fifth Extraordinary Summit Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jakarta, which was held on March 6 to 7 2016.
He reiterated that the Islamic Jihad welcomed all efforts in the form of conferences that are supporting the settlement of the Palestinian issue and support the Palestinian fighters.
“What we need from this meeting is a serious decision and earnest action to support the Palestinian people who were essentially fighting to defend the honor and sanctity of Moslems entirely, said Mudlallal to the correspondent Mudlallal Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) in Gaza, Muhammad Husein, Sunday (6/3) afternoon local time.
He also said that Al-Quds will not be freed as long as the condition of the Moslems themselves are messed and split by the various conflicts in the body of Moslems. Islamic Jihad hoped that the Extraordinary OIC summit produces unity of action of OIC member countries and the unity of the Moslems in order to continue the struggle of the Palestinian people to face the enemy of Moslems.
“Therefore, unity is a demand and a mandatory requirement for all Moslems, as unity is the nature of Islam itself,” he said.
So, Moslems are one, sharing in the pain, hope and struggle against occupation by Zionist Israel who were desecrating the holiest region that belongs to Moslems that is the blessed land of Palestine. He noted that today Palestinian people are entering the holy battle through the Intifada Al-Quds to face Zionist Israel and the Jewish extremists, they need tangible support in order to achieve the dream of all Moslems to liberate Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine which is the main problems of Moslems.
The Extraordinary OIC summit was conducted because it is backgrounded by various conflicts in the Middle East which makes attention to Palestine and Al-Quds diminishing, while the process of peace negotiations between the Palestinians and Israel does not show significant progress. Authority and Israeli settlers continued to use force aggressors against Palestinian civilians and restrict their access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The conference was held as the attitude of the OIC countries against these developments. Under the theme “United for a Just Solution”, the Extraordinary OIC summit in 2016 trying to push a message of unity both for the Palestinians and OIC countries, as well as improving the Palestinian struggle through the United Nations agencies and other multi-national. Also discussed the formation of advocacy team, financial assistance, human resource development including Palestinian diplomat, as well as capacity building for the Palestinian people skills.
The summit was planned to produce a resolution that confirms the position of principle and commitment of the OIC to support Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and the Jakarta Declaration, which was initiated by Indonesia to load concrete steps for Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.(ctr/K08/R07)
