IOF BULLDOZERS 100 ACRES OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN NABLUS
Nablus, 18 Jumadil Awwal 1436/9 March 2015 (MINA) – Israeli military bulldozers destroyed on Monday morning dozens of acres of productive agricultural lands in Salem town east of Nablus.
Local sources said that several Israeli bulldozers stormed this morning Salem town and razed large tracts of Palestinian agricultural lands near the illegal Israeli outpost of Elon Moreh, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
Approximately 100 acres planted with olive trees and cereals were destroyed during the raid, the sources added.
Earlier Friday, Israeli authorities handed over notifications requesting the uprooting of olive trees planted in the area within 48 hours, and denying Palestinian farmers’ access to their lands.
A similar attack has been reported in Bethlehem when Israeli bulldozers razed Sunday large agricultural lands in Kissan town to the south of the city.
Eyewitnesses stated that large numbers of Israeli forces accompanied by military bulldozers broke into the town at the early morning hours and razed agricultural lands located at the northern entrance of the town.
The razing of agricultural lands came as a prelude to the establishment of Israeli factories in the area, the sources pointed out.(T/P008/R03)
